In this post, I’ll be discussing four very important healthy eating habits for weight loss. Let’s have a look!

1.      Researching Healthy Meals & Snacks

In case you’ve been eating out at fast food spots and restaurants for some time now, it’s essential you begin getting used to putting your kitchen to some use. Always remember that 70% of your success in terms of weight loss is determined by your nutrition and the calories you are consuming on a daily basis. Do your research to find a few healthy snacks and meals which are appealing for you. You will come across all sorts of healthy meals inside 15 minutes of your research on Google. Print out the ingredient list with the directions and you’ll be all set.

2.      Counting and Monitoring Your Calories

Your body needs a specific amount of calories every day. Head online to find out what the appropriate caloric amount is for you. This will take your gender, height, age, and activity level into consideration. The number can be anywhere between 1,500 to 3,000 calories every day and as such, it is essential to learn what the appropriate caloric number is for you. Once you know this number, you can put one of the several free calorie counting websites/apps to use and keep track of what you’re eating on a daily basis.

3.      Preparing Portioned Snacks

It is essential to not only eat properly portioned meals but also properly portioned snacks. Keeping the body well nourished throughout the day through snacks will stop hunger cravings from tempting you to eat unhealthy items. It won’t do you any good to have a healthy breakfast and then at 10:00 AM get a 20 oz soda bottle and a giant bar of Snickers from the vending machine at your office. That snack is worth 700 calories alone! This is why you should instead prepare some healthy snacks at home and bring them to work in your lunch bag.

4.      Drinking Lots and Lots of Water

This is perhaps the most important of all. You should be drinking a lot of water every day. Lots and lots of it. The best thing is that water has absolutely zero calories, and it can also help make everything you eat move along in a smooth manner through your digestive process. Make a habit of always having a water bottle/container by your side so you are never empty handed throughout the day.

5.      Saying No to Soda

Last but not the least, I would advise you all to get rid of sodas. If you rid yourself of a single soda per day, through the span of a year, you will be able to eliminate 15.6 pounds from being potentially added into your body!
